Shattering glass
Shattering glass
A shrill scream and a heartbreaking cry
And the blood runs freely by an by
She curls up now barley alive
Voice a whisper and she questions why.
He just stares. Why?
Why would he care
He doesn't owe her barley even knows her.
12 years later and she lied the whole time
And isn't that the worst crime.
Life gets lonely when you're all by yourself
With no one around but a bottle of crown
And sad little voice telling you lies
You can't help if it shows up night
Just make sure he's gone by the light.
Then one night he comes home early
Two sets of shoes and an extra coat
goes upstairs and finds them there
His hand stroking gently her hair.
A scream ripes though the room
She wakes with a jolt
The bed is empty
He lies on the floor
Crumpled mess by the door
He runs to her and holds to dear
turns to the mirror and throws there
She screams out in pain and whispers why
But he doesn't shed a tear
As he watches her die.
